Cushions for Ducks

Last night I dreamt that I have a big box to the left of me. In opposite corners of each other, each corner had 6 baby ducks in it. They were all snuggled in for the night. There were a couple of other things in the box with them but it was confusing because I kept forgetting and remembering what they were and I spent some time in my dream trying to remember what I kept forgetting. Anyway, I decided it didn't really matter what was in there with the ducks, because the ducks were cold. There was a big folded blanket to my right so I tried to grab it. I was having a hard time with it because I couldn't figure out how to unfold it and I kept sticking my arm in and out of its creases trying to figure out where the end was. Finally, I just pulled the whole thing out and realized it was not a blanket at all. It was a cushion for the ducks to sleep on. As I was getting ready to give the ducklings their new cushion is when Brian woke me up.

"What are you doing?" Brian asks with some sort of confusion in his voice. That's when I realized that the cushion was actually a pillow I just ripped out from under his head and the box of ducks was actually my 10 year old who slept with us last night. I apologized and rolled over and went back to bed. That was one of those nights where I felt more embarrassed then I did at laughing at what I did.
